Acting Minister of Health, Minister of Defence Mohamed Nazim has said that doctors have been sent to all islands of Maldives except three islands.
Minister Nazim made this remark speaking at the ceremony held to sign an agreement to renovate the health center of two islands. He said that the three islands where doctors are not yet sent are Meemu Atoll Raihmundhoo, Veyvah of that atoll and Laamu Mundu.
He said that doctors will be sent to those three islands as soon as the arrangements for the accommodation of the doctors are settled.
Nazim said that this is a milestone achieved by the ministry of health to send doctors to all islands of Maldives. He said that the health sector has seen great improvements in the recent days.
The agreements signed yesterday were to renovate the health center of Raa Atoll Innamadhoo and Addu Atoll Hulhumeedhoo.
