Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives Akhilesh Mishra has called on the Indians residing in the Maldives to serve with honesty and sincerity.
He made the statements speaking in the flag hoisting ceremony held in Indian High Commission to mark the nation’s 67th Republic Day, held Tuesday morning.
Sharma said that such service will benefit both nations and will foster better relations between the citizens of the two nations.
“Any work carried out by an Indian which will boost the economy of the Maldives, will enhance the relationship between the two nations,” he said.
Sharma appealed to all Indians in the country to serve as one team and further the economic development of the Maldivians. He added that all Indians serving in the Maldives were the same to him, irrespective of the position they served and as such the High Commission was always open to them.
