Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been tasked with the project to redevelop Sultan Park to contemporary standards.
Speaking in the signing ceremony in Hotel Jen on Monday night, MTCC CEO Ibrahim Abdu Razzaaq Haleem said that it was an honor for the company to be tasked with this project.
Ibrahim Abdu Razzaaq Haleem reflected on the previous year, noting that MTCC had been given many projects by the government in the past two years. Chief amongst them he noted the fountain in Republic Square and the new Artificial Beach.
Ibrahim Abdu Razzaaq Haleem said that state run and state owned companies had demonstrated that alliance had worked well for those companies when seeking to complete the Government projects. He added that the night had witnessed the collaboration between the Government and private businesses. Ibrahim Abdu Razzaaq Haleem further said that this was evident of the development ushered in by the policies of President Yameen.
The MTCC CEO said that under the project, the old house in the Park will be renovated and the satellites placed in the Park will be moved to the Heritage Island.
