Sadaqa Foundation has donated 12 fans to Masjid al Auzam, the Islamic Center mosque.
The 12 aircool fans were handed over to the mosque by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim. Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad Bagir accepted the fans on behalf of the Ministry.
Speaking in the ceremony, Deputy Minister at Islamic Ministry Sheikh Ibrahim Ahmed said that the fans will be placed in the top floor of the mosque. He added that the current placement of fans did not allow for proper ventilation and that most of the congregation were physically uncomfortable during prayer times, especially on Fridays and in the month of Ramadan.
The Sheikh stressed that donations such as this, earned the donor many rewards, both in the material and the spiritual world.
Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad Bagir thanked the Sadaqa Foundation, First Lady and the President for their generous donation.
The Ministry said the Ministry will always welcome endeavors of this nature by different organizations.
