Islamic Library in the Islamic Center has been opened after extensive renovations to the Library.
The Library was opened by the recipient of the Nishan Izzuddin Honor Award Abdu Rasheed Hussain.
Speaking in the opening ceremony, Abdu Rasheed Hussain said that the Library was one of the first buildings opened in the Center, opening on the same day. He added that the after the opening by a leading Saudi delegate, the Library was used for research and educational purposes.
However, Abdu Rasheed Hussain said following the regime change in 2008, the Library was mismanaged and added that the Library’s physical area had been reduced as well.
Islamic Ministry’s Deputy Minister Sheikh Mohamed Qubad Abu Bakr said that there was an extensive range of books available on various aspects of Islam.
The Library was opened with an extended area, with a special room for research purposes. Additionally, the seating capacity in the Library had also been extended.
