Villa College Rector Dr. Ahmed Anwar on Saturday said that the College aimed to give a Europe level education to local students at an affordable price.
Speaking at the orientation program for new students Dr. Anwar said that Villa College had always given priority on three aspects.
“The first aspect is to facilitate education for students. Then we focus on improving the quality of education. Then we aim to provide a European level education at a fair price,” he said.
He added that the courses of the West of England University were taught at the same level as in UK. Dr. Anwar further said that even though the students were studying in the Maldives, they will be given student cards from the University.
“We were given the opportunity to conduct courses after the University checked the quality of the College,” he said.
Dr. Anwar said if students were to complete the West of England University programs in UK, they will have to spend £13,000. He further said Villa College conducts the courses at a cheaper rate than the neighboring countries.
Dr. Anwar also said that the teachers in the College are well versed in their subject matter and is the industry benchmark, as the other universities were trying to math their standards.
He further said that Villa College founder initiated the College to provide easy access to high quality education to local students.
“The College is working to achieve that goal. We are creating campuses and learning centers in all parts of the country to fulfill that pledge,” he said.
