Body of Ziyaadha Naeem has been buried after conducting the post mortem. Her funeral was attended by many, including many women.
Her case rose to national interest after she died due to injuries received due to alleged domestic violence from her husband. At the time of her death, she was receiving treatment from ICU for her injuries.
The investigation into her death is also a historic one.
Initially, the case was filed as an abuse case, which was changed into a murder case after she passed away. Her body was sent aboard to conduct post mortem studies to gain evidence.
Ziyadha’s body was brought back to Male’ last night.
Following her death, many women of Thinadhoo, her home town, had protested against domestic abuse.
