IGMH has begun sleep lab services in the Hospital.
The lab was opened this morning. In the lab various tests can be done, but the main focus of the lab is for sleep related disorders.
Patients will be hooked to specialist equipment and sleep tests will be carried out after admitting them. The technicians will monitor the changes that occur while the patient is asleep.
IGMH stated that lack of sleep was the main cause of many health issues and added that the service was an essential service.
IGMH said the lab was a state of the art lab, akin to the labs in America and United Kingdom. The Hospital also said the lab is among the few labs for the purpose in the region.
