Civil Service Commission (CSC) has said that any dismissals, caused by the amendments to Finance Ministry, will be carried out fully abiding to the CSC laws.
A statement released by the Commission yesterday said that if the Government needed to employ more, then there were ways in which the jobs sector can be expanded.
Speaking to Miadhu, Spokesperson at President’s Office, Ibrahim Muaz Ali assured that the President will not implement any measure that will harm a civil employee. He said that the Government was working to ensure new jobs from other government agencies was open to those excess employees in the Ministry.
The statement by the Commission categorically denied the claims that any employee over the age of 55 are to be dismissed, citing that no such decision had been agreed on. The statement noted that if an employee had wished to leave their jobs after 55 years, there were procedures to follow and incentives to be given to the said employee.
