State Minister at Education Ministry, Dr. Abdullah Nazeer, has said that the Islamic University was functioning properly as dictated in the University Act.
Speaking in a press conference held in Education Ministry, Dr. Nazeer said that University Act specified a certain number of steps that needed to be taken during transition to a University. He said that the transition was going on as planned.
He also said that the University was currently undertaking the administrative work of the University and has completed most of the administrative processes.
Islamic University has already established many of their faculties and had appointed heads to those faculties. Many changes have been brought to the administrative framework as well.
Islamic University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed had previously stated that the results of the work carried out to make the University a recognized and respected University will be seen soon.
Many reputed global Universities had already formed networks with the University.
