President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom is scheduled to address that nation in official ceremony held tomorrow in HA. Utheemu to mark the National Day.
President’s Office Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali said that President Yameen will be addressing the nation Sunday morning.
Home Minister Umar Naseer also had confirmed that the President will be arriving in Utheemu Monday morning.
The official events to mark the day had kicked off Friday night at midnight. Home Minister Umar Naseer, senior officials of the Ministry, council members and senior officials of the Atoll are already in the island for the festivities.
Council President said that national day has been marked in the island annually since the reign of President Mohamed Ameen.
