President calls all to give a warm welcome to tourists from all islands

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has called all to give a warm welcome to tourists visiting Maldives from all islands.

President Yameen made this remark speaking at the function held to officially inaugurate the harbor project of Dhan’gethi Island, South Ari Atoll.

He said that Dhangethi is one of the main tourist spots of Maldives and hospitality is very important for the sustainable development and maintenance of the economy of the island.

The President said that if the visiting tourists are not given a good hospitality then it might have a negative impact on the development of the island.

The President emphasized the importance of tourism in the country's development, and noted that his vision was to enhance benefits of tourism for the youth. He added that, through perseverance, dedication and discipline, the youth of the Maldives could scale such heights of success.
