The Government says that they have believed that the opposition MDP led “Minjuvaan” protests have ended, even though, the Government will not be able to comply with the demands issued.
A statement released by the Government stated that the powers of the state were independent from each other, with each power exercising the rule of law. Therefore, the statement noted that the Government was not able to comply with the said demands and will not instruct any state powers to do so.
The statement assured that the Government will be working to combat corruption and will assist ACC in that process. The statement also noted that the Government will continue their efforts to ensure the nation and citizens were safe and secure from any issue.
The statement concluded by saying that the Government will work with any group, which prioritized national interests.
