Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has earned MVR 1.13 billion in the month of August 2014.
The total revenue collected by MIRA on August 2014, inclusive of USD Collection is MVR 1.13 billion and the total US dollar revenue collection equals to 46.51 billion dollars.
This amount is greater by 53.0 percent compared to forecast for August 2014 and this is an increase of 113.3 percent compared to total revenue collected in August 2013.
Both BPT and GST deadlines fell on Eid holidays and the deadlines were extended to 3 August 2014. As a result August revenue collection surpassed the projection and August 2013 collection. In addition, Lease Period Extension Fee was collected in August 2014, in contrast to August 2013.
