Former President Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom has said the late statesman, Abdu Sattar Moosa Didi was a selfless patriot, who had dedicated over 50 years of his life to the service of the nation.
He made the statement in a tweet posted, delivering his condolences after Abdu Sattar Moosa Didi passed away.
President Maumoon said that Abdu Sattar Moosa Didi was a cabinet member in his tenure as President and that his death was a deep loss. Abdu Sattar Moosa Didi served as Fisheries Minister from 1978 to 1989 and as Health Minister from 1989 to 1992.
Abdu Sattar Moosa Didi had resigned after a senior member of the cabinet made some statements after he had given an honest answer to a question posed by a journalist.
Even after his resignation, Abdu Sattar Moosa Didi had served the nation by fulfilling any and every responsibility assigned by the Government.
