Minister of Finance and Treasury Hon. Abdulla Jihad has today departed to Addu City, to inspect the scale of devastation caused in some islands due to continuous heavy rain and consequential flooding in the city. During his visit, the Minister will enquire on the ways the Government could assist Addu City in its recovery efforts.
Extensive property damage was caused following a series of torrential rain showers, disrupting the livelihoods of the people in some islands of Addu City.
