Hanimaadhoo Constituency MP Hussain Shahudhee has stated the development and operation of Hanimaadhoo International Airport will be a catalyst for development of the north.
Speaking in the Parliament, regarding the proposed state budget for next year, Shahudhee said that Hanimaadhoo airport presently caters to high end tourists, mid-level tourists and locals. He said that all these individuals are catered from the small terminal initially built for the purpose.
Shahudhee added that he was thankful for the proposed expansion of the airport. He stressed that the port also need to be developed to cater to the needs of the island and the tourism sector.
