Today marks the start of the third year of this Government. Many have reflected on the achievements of this Government.
Over the past two years many development projects have been started in the country, currently at various levels of completion.
The sector that has undergone the most development is the nation’s health sector, which had thrived under the Government’s direction.
In the past two years, the Government, in association with STO, had opened an Aasandha serviced pharmacy in every inhabited island. The project had been completed two months before the designated deadline. Previously, Maldives was the only nation with no MRI machines. This has been reversed. Additionally, 53 ambulances had been brought to the country in the past two years.
A total of 118 projects had been completed for the health sector in the past two years, with 48 projects are currently on going. Therefore, it is no doubt that the sector had undergone rapid transformation in the space of a short time.
