Maradhoo Constituency MP Ibrahim Shareef has stated that the biggest issue facing the country was the issue of protecting the state earnings.
Speaking in the Parliament session yesterday, Shareef said that every state agency was talking about the unsecure status of state earnings and the loss of the said earnings.
Auditor General has stated that over 90% of audit reports show huge corruption cases. Some of the reports are now over eight years old, with almost all Government institutions failing to act on the reports. Many MPs have already said that the corruption cases arising from MMPRC will be record amounts.
Even though Anti-Corruption Commission had declared this year to be as a year of action, the number of actual cases on which action had been taken is at best, non-existent.
