Islamic Ministry has stated that the Ministry will enact legal punishment on those individuals who gather after Friday prayers and offer supplications, which in most cases involve wishing ill.
A statement released by the Ministry Monday night said that some individuals gather after Friday prayers and offer supplications, wishing for ill on certain people.
The statement added that wishing ill on any Muslim was forbidden in Islam and that the supplications are mostly carried out for show, infront of a crowd. The statement urged all citizens not to take part in the action.
The statement added that this was against clauses 4 (a) and (b) of the religious protection act and promotes discontent and misinformation among the public. The statement also added that legal action will be taken against those perpetrating such actions.
