Jumhooree Party (JP) the 35 percent share holder of the Progressive Coalition has stated that the party wants to discussions with the PPM government as soon as possible.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, the Secretary General of the Jumhooree Party, Ahmed Sameer has said that the party has requested for a meeting to commence discussions as the current government came into being with many sacrifices of the Jumhooree Party.
“In addition to this President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom before his departure abroad stated that the Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim has sought for a meeting. Gayoom assured that he will meet Gasim Ibrahim,” she said.
Sameer said that the Jumhooree Party is a party which likes to hold discussions. He said that the party hoped that the current government will work in conformity to the agreement made with the government.
Sameer said that the Jumhooree Party wants progress and one step forward as always. He said that his ideology is to serve the nation and be steadfast upon it.
Sameer said that PPM and President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom is ready to hold these discussions.
