At the Fifteenth Sitting of the Third Session of the People’s Majlis held the Bill on Amendment to the Law on Uninhabited Islands Act (Act No. 20/98) tabled on behalf of the Government by Ahmed Rasheed, MP for Gaddhoo was rejected unanimously with 57 votes as recommended by Committee on Economic Affairs.
The Committee Report was presented to the floor by Deputy Chair of the Committee on Economic Affairs Ahmed Amir, MP for Kudahuvadhoo. Eleven Members spoke during time allocated for debate.
The First Reading of the Bill was held on 27 October 2015 at the Seventh Sitting of the Third Session of the Majlis.
