Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has said that activities held by political parties which are open to public are very important and is a big step forward.
Dr. Mausoom made this remark speaking at the prize conferring ceremony of Chess Tournament. The function was held at the main Jumhooree Party platform at M. Kunooz.
He said that the participants from all political parties joining together is a very good step and shows that the people of Maldives are democratically aware.
Dr. Mausoom said that sports are very important and the youth should be provided with ways to play different kinds of sports. He said that it is a path towards development and progress.
In addition to this, Dr. Mausoom noted the Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim is a person who wants that the youth be given good opportunities in sports.
