Ryan Pvt. Ltd. Has been contracted to Design and Oversee the development of the sewage system of five islands, namely; K.Himmafushi, Th.Veymandoo, K.Thulusdhoo, H.Dh.Nolhivaramfaru, and Lh.Naifaru.
The contact was signed on an event held at the Ministry of Environment and Energy yesterday. On behalf of the government, Minister Thariq Ibrahim and state Minister Abdul Matheen Mohamed signed the agreement.
The project was handed over to Ryan Pvt Ltd after it received top marks for experience and price from an international tender process, where 2 national parties and 5 international parties submitted their tenders.
For a Net total of MVR 15,363,159.14 , Ryan Pvt. Ltd. will start the design process, after which a suitable party would be selected to do the work, which would also be supervised by Ryan Pvt. Ltd.
This project will be funded by the government budget, as well as by a loan specifically taken for this purpose, from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
A loan of MVR 231 Million have been approved by the IDB for the development of the sewage system for these 5 islands.
