CEO of VTV, Ibrahim Khaleel has said that the media is the fourth power of the state and it can only be upholded and maintained by building the people to it.
Khaleel made this remark speaking at the ceremony held on Friday night at Villa College’s main hall to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Vmedia.
“Good training programs should be held for journalists in the same way such programs are held for the nurses and doctors,” he said.
“I appeal the Home Minister as he is present in this meeting to not make media as something that is taken only when needed,” he added.
He said that it is not enough just to say that the media is the fourth power of state but rather the people should actualize it from their action.
