Ghiyasuddin International School Principal Thaha Saleem has said that Maldives does not have to wait for their turn to develop.
He made the statement speaking in the ceremony held in Dhiraagu Head Office to sign a partnership agreement so that student can bring their personal devices to school. Saleem said that students in other countries were allowed to bring their own devices to school. He added that this has been facilitated for office personnel as well.
Saleem said that we have to follow such examples emulated by nations including America, other nations. “We do not have to wait for our turn to develop, we can bypass the existing system,” he said.
He noted that globalization had been facilitated due to information sharing and that there was no reason that classrooms of Maldives and other nations cannot be linked. Saleem said that students have graduated from using textbooks to devices due to ease of use and portability.
Speaking in the ceremony, Dhiraagu CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed said that Ghiyasuddin School had always aimed to progress in technological field. he added that it was an honor for the company to partner with such a school.
Saleem said that the program will first undergo testing prior to full usage for all students.
