Kudahuvadhoo Constituency MP Ahmed Amir has stated that national security has to be ensured even if amendments has to be brought to constituency.
Speaking in today’s Parliament session, Amir said that efforts of some groups to boycott tourism and instate sanctions on Maldives has to be stopped and laws must be enacted to prevent such actions. Amir added that such actions hampered the current situation and future prospects of the nation.
Amir said that in some nations social media restrictions had been implemented as it damaged national interests and such measures have to be considered if the situation warrants such actions.
