MTCC has announced that starting next year the company will introduce boat building and engine installation services as a combination package.
The announcement was made by MTCC CEO Ibrahim Abdu Razzaaq Haleem in the ceremony held in National Art Gallery to introduce the new 60 horsepower Yanmar engines to Maldives.
Razzaq said that parties wishing to apply for the service can enter an agreement with MTCC, with a long term payment plan.
Speaking to Miadhu, Razzaaq said that the service was introduced as MTCC wished to ensure a standardized quality to the vessels and to ensure a quality service was given to their customers. He said that vessel owners spend huge sums in building vessels of substandard quality and after that process, vessel owners did not have sufficient amount of money to install engines. Razzaq said that the package aims to resolve the two issues.
He also announced that MTCC will be selling boat building products from November onwards.
