Founder of Vmedia, Gasim Ibrahim has said that correct information is very important for the development and progress of the people. He said that it is to provide this information that he established Vmedia.
Gasim Ibrahim made this remark speaking at the ceremony held on Friday night at Villa College’s main hall to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Vmedia.
Gasim Ibrahim stated that he always appeals all media to not slander anyone and not to publish unsubstantiated information regarding anyone or any matter.
He said that the responsibility of the media is to bring the reality of the issue to the public and to make them aware of it. He added that it is important to freely express views within the parameters of the law.
Gasim said that he sent some people abroad to give them the proper training and education to establish VTV, however after finishing their studies covered by the Villa Foundation they returned and worked elsewhere other than VTV.
Furthermore, he commended the press for their responsible role in disseminating public information.
