Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has called on the Indian community in Maldives to contribute to the Maldives to the best of their abilities.
She made the statement addressing the indian community in the Maldives in the Tourism Faculty of Maldives National University, on Saturday night.
Speaking in the meeting Minister Sushma said that Indians were active globally and locally in national development, citing that Indian contribution to engineering, IT and sciences was especially remarkable in United States.
She noted that indian nationals were serving as doctors, teachers and nurses and as such they have to be sincere in their profession. She added that the significantly large number of Indian citizens serving in the Maldives was a stark sign of the strong relationship between the two nations. Minister Sushma said that such relations have to be maintained.
