Dhiraagu has successfully launched the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to the local market.
According to Dhiraagu the local launch coincided with the global launch. Speaking to Miadhu, Dhiraagu Director Marketing Ahmed Maumoon said that many had pre-registered for the phones, from the second of this month.
Maumoon said that over five thousand had registered in the five day period and additional phones will be sold from 10 am to 4pm at Dhiraagu Head Office. Many of those who had pre-ordered queued in the Head Office at the deadline given.
He added that the phones had gone on sale from midnight onwards and said that sales will be made today for those who had pre-ordered the phones. Maumoon said that the number of phones released was a limited amount, based on the pre-order levels and added that additional orders might need to be placed.
“We are excited to be included in the second wave of the worldwide launch and we are thrilled to be the first carrier in Maldives to announce the official launch of Apple iPhone’s. We will keep our customers informed on the developments,” Maumoon said. He noted the level of support of apple products from the local market and added that the apple warranty applied to all the phones sold.
Soft Touch was appointed as the Official Distributor of Apple Products in the Maldives. The company said that the aim of the company was to provide every local smartphone user with an iPhone and thanked Dhiraagu for their assistance and described their partnership as a huge success.
