President’s office Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali has stated that the work carried out by the National Inquiry Commission was vital national work.
Speaking to Miadhu, Muaz said that the Commission was conducting vital and technical work and as such, who was in the Commission was not relevant.
“We are not doing this for show or to rewrite history. This Commission was compiled to address a serious issue that is facing the nation,” Muaz said.
Both supporters and opponents of the Government had voiced concern over the incident, stressing that an incident of this nature should not occur.
