Ibrahim Abdu Razzaq Haleem, Managing Director of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) has stated that employees were the biggest asset of any company.
He made the statement speaking in the ceremony held to handover scholarships of the human resource development program of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), which trains existing staff and trains apprentices for various positions in the company.
He cited the various studies conducted by many international companies which showed that training employees earned better results than upgrading machinery. Haleem added that any high tech machinery will not yield results if equal emphasis was placed on training citizens.
Haleem added that restarting the program, which had been in hiatus since 2009, was a resounding success of the company. The program had been running since 2000.
