Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has stated that the assistance given by the Saudi Government is felt across all the sectors of the country, from development to education.
He made the statement in the key note address given in the ceremony held to mark the 85th national day of Saudi Arabia held Thursday night in Paradise Island Resort.
He thanked Saudi Government on behalf of the public and the State for their prompt and varying range of assistance over the years. Vice President Adeeb said that the senior officials and citizens of the two nations were constantly paying visits to the other country and added that King Salman’s visit to Maldives last year caused the relationship to cement further.
Adeeb noted the development gained by Saudi Arabia under the tenure of King Salman bin Abdul Azeez and added that he wished to see more successes for Saudi leadership and citizens. He also stressed that he wished to see the relationship between the two nations to reach new heights over the coming years.
He extended national day greetings to Saudi royal family, senior officials and Saudi public on behalf on the Maldivian Government and Maldivians. He also thanked the Saudi government for the excellent hospitality extended to President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim on their recent trip to Mecca to complete their pilgrimages.
