Managing Director of the State Trading Organization (STO), Adam Azim has said that the project to create 1000 pharmacists is one of the most important projects ever signed by STO.
Adam Azim made this remark speaking at the ceremony held at the Education Ministry to sign the agreement. He said that as Maldivian pharmacists are created, they will get a good salary for the job as well.
Adam Azim said that a pharmacist will get MVR 10,000 per month and there will be no inequality in salaries whether work in Male’ or in the islands.
He said that within the end of this month, STO pharmacies will be opened in all bigger islands where the regional hospitals are located. He said that all of those pharmacies will provide Aasandha services.
Adam Azim said that Maldivians getting the opportunity to work in pharmacies is a development achieved by the Maldivian nation.
“Even if all of the 1000 pharmacists created do not get opportunities to work in STO pharmacies there are plenty of pharmacies which will hire them,” he said.
Under this project, a pharmacy was opened in Kaafu atoll Thulusdhoo island on the 2nd of this month.
“Aasandha” service is now available from STO Pharmacy Kaafu Thulusdhoo.
