Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Fu Kang has stated that cooperation between the two nations, will yield mutual benefits.
He made the statement speaking in the ceremony held in Hotel Jen to mark the 66th national day of China.
In his speech Ambassador Wang highlighted on the importance of mutual cooperation for rapid development and added that a nation could not hope to attain success without any assistance. He also spoke on the vital partnerships between Maldives and China, fostered and developed over the years. Wang expressed his hope that this partnership will yield better results in the future in all sectors of development.
Wang stated that the high level meetings held between the leaders of the two nations had yielded positive results, such as the bridge project, airport development project, second phase expansion of Hulhumale’ and Laamu atoll road project among many. He added there were many more development projects that can be attempted by the two nations together in the future.
Ambassador also highlighted the importance of establishing the free trade pact between China and Maldives.
