A six memer committee has been drawn up to prevent the recurrence of the incident aboard Presidential speedboat Mondaymorning.
The team is comprised of three Police officers and three officers from MNDF. Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Ahmed Shahid, Colonel Abdul Rauf and Captain Ali Ihsan are among those chosen from MNDF. Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohamed Jamsheed, Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdullah Nawaz and Chief Station Inspector Mohamed Samih were chosen from Police.
Public Service Media reported that President’s Office Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali had stated that the committee was compiled by the President. He added that the Committee was not an investigative one but drawn up to advice the President on technical issues.
