Road construction project for Sh. Funadhoo has been assigned to MTCC. The project is worth MVR 46 million and the project has to be completed within 420 day.
Speaking in a ceremony held Sunday night in Funadhoo, MTCC CEO Abdu Razzaq Haleem stated that the roads of the island will be designed in four ways and he anticipated that the project will be concluded before the deadline, with the assistance of the citizens of the island.
Haleem added that so far this year, the Government had tasked MTCC with 23 projects across the nation and that out of this 11 had been fully completed. Overall, Haleem said that the company is overseeing 54 projects and that all the projects were worth MVR 2.2 billion. Out of this Haleem said that 98 percent were projects from the islands.
He added that this was evidence of the priority the Government had given to the islands. Haleem said that the company had also completed many projects from the islands which had been not included in the main project. He assured that the company will provide such services in the islands.
Haleem thanked President Yameen for his developmental projects.
