Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, alQari Ali Waheed has appealed all to remain steadfast in learning and reciting Quran.
Ali Waheed made this remark speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Certificate Level 1 Qari Course for the staff of Maldives Customs Services.
He said that the ministry is fully committed to providing any assistance required to make this program a success.
The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs Mr. Ali Waheed and attended by Commissioner General Honorable Ahmed Mohamed, Deputy Principal of The Centre for Holy Quran Al Qari Abdul Rahman Yoonus, Customs Executives and participants.
The two month course which will be carried out by Customs Academy and Customs Recreation Club in affiliation with Ministry of Islamic Affairs and The Centre for Holy Quran will be taught by Al-Qari Abdulla Faisal.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Principal of The Centre for Holy Quran Al Qari Abdul Rahman Yoonus highlighted that since MCS is operational round the clock, this program is a golden opportunity for all officers who are interested in the area, but were unable to attend the regular classes held by the institution due to the inconveniences caused by having to work on shift duty basis. As such, he urged all participants to make the best use of this opportunity.
The Chief Guest, Deputy Minister Mr. Ali Waheed in his speech assured that his ministry is fully committed to providing any assistance required to make this program a success.
Addressing the participants, the Commissioner General Ahmed Mohamed expressed his hope that this program will pave way to increase the number of participants and also improve the quality of next year’s CRC Annual Quran Competition that takes place every Ramazan.
