MDA President Ahmed Shiyam Mohamed has stated that “yellow fever” had to be eliminated from the country and that they have the vaccine to do so.
Shiyam made the statement speaking in Landhoo Island, at the official inauguration of the Innamaadhoo Branch of Fenaka Corporation Limited.
Shiyam said that they have been successful in eliminating “yellow fever” from Landhoo and were workin towards eliminating that from the other islands.
He noted that the Government had completed the work that had previously taken 20 – 25 years, in one and half years. Shiyam added that the pledges of the Government had been actualized due to the economic policies and that the Government had been successful in attaining the finances for the projects.
Shiyam also noted that the Government had dropped the bank investment rates to 5.5 percent which will benefit the businesses in the long term.
