Ministry of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim has called on all youth to participate in national development without remaining in home after studies.
He made the statement speaking in the address given at Maldives National University graduation held in Dharubaaruge.
Minister Thoriq said that all had worked in national service, irrespective of the rank. He also said that many had graduated every year from universities and colleges however, the number of students in national service was extremely low.
He added that graduates had to let go of the culture of rank in favor of national services. Thoriq said that Maldivians had to fill the positions in the Government and that it was vital for the development of the nation.
Minister Thoriq said it was vital that students had to teach others and research in vital areas required by the nation.
