School Education level is improving- Dr. Nazeer
Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Abdulla Nazeer has said that the education level of the schools in Maldives is improving.

Dr. Nazeer made this remark speaking at the Prize Day of Villa International High School held last night at Dharubaaruge.

He said that students who passed in five subjects increased by 43 percent in the 2013 Final Exams of School. He said that it is a 11 percent improvement compared to the results of the year 2009.

Dr. Nazeer said that Maldivian students have been also achieving remarkable awards in international level in exams.

He said that schools have been established throughout the Maldives and there is not an inhabited island with no education facility. In this regard he said that that there are now 214 schools established in 198 inhabited islands of Maldives.

In addition to this, Dr. Nazeer said that the students should be well prepared for the changes that are developing around the world.

He said that the world is every changing and the borders are disappearing. “Educations is becoming something global. Instead of thinking as individuals of a certain country we think as individuals of the world, as global citizens,” he said.

Dr. Nazeer said that foreigners play an important role in the development of Maldives and today it is also witnessed Maldivians playing important roles in the development of other countries.

The Deputy Minister said that the export education has brought many challenges to the industries and world countries are now working to make education more global after the year 2015. He said that the foreigners who come to Maldives will be fully trained and prepared for the industries of Maldives following the establishment of global education.
