MTCC has stated that it was the responsibility of the company to ensure that the vessels created in the country were created to wear the toughest conditions for the longest possible time.
Speaking to press in the ceremony held in MTCC Kashavaru to launch the Sigma Week, MTCC CEO Ibrahim Abdu Razzaq stated that MTCC was a partner to almost all vessels created in the country as MTCC was the supplier of engines for those vessels.
Razzaq stated that the vessels were created after spending exorbitant amounts and that it was sad that negligent practices or poor practices contributed to the decay of the vessel. He added that Sigma products were accepted world over and of high quality.
Razzaq said that it was vital that high quality products were used in building the vessels and that it contributed to the longevity of the vessels. He also said that cheaper products can be used to lower costs but ultimately bring out a lower quality vessel.
