Special Representative of President Yameen, local athlete Hassan Saaid has inaugurated the Hulhumale Central Park and Barbecue Area on Friday.
The two areas were developed by Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
Speaking in the ceremony, HDC Managing Director Mohamed Simon stated that aspects of the Government’s youth agenda were similar and now amalgamated to that of HDC’s strategic plans. HDC reported that with the developments to the barbeque area, 130 people can now easily be served in the area.
HDC also reported that the Central Park was opened with no access to engine powered vehicles so as to ensure that the children and bikers can enjoy the area.
The ceremony was concluded with a fireworks display and music shows.
