Will try more to rectify ACC in the next 5 years with the trust of the people- ACC President
President of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Hassan Luthfee has said in the next five years he will do his best and will rectify the problems in the commission.

ACC President made this remark, Hassan Lufhfee said that the people voted him for the coming five years because they trusted him.

“He said that him winning this time shows that the people accepted his works last year,” he said.

Hassan Luthfee was appointed to the committee with seventy five votes.

Meanewhile, At the Twenty Ninth Sitting of the Second Session of the People’s Majlis held today, Members unanimously consented to five candidates proposed by the President to the Board of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The candidates consented by Parliament to the ACC Board other than Hassan Luthfee were: Muaviz Rasheed of Gazeera, G.Dh Thinadhoo, with 74 votes; Aminath Minna of Boduvalhudhoshuge N. Holhudhoo, with 74 votes; Yazmeed Mohamed of Vaijeheygey, Ga Villingili with 73 votes; and. Safwath Mohamed of Southern Villa, G.Dh Vaadhoo with 75 votes

The candidates were proposed by the President as per Article 200 (b) of the Constitution and Article 4 (c) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act (Act No. 13/2008), and were reviewed by the Committee on Independent Institutions.
