Maldivians take gold in Culinary Challenge
Many Maldivian chefs have claimed gold in the International Culinary Challenge held from the 10th to the 12th in Dharubaaruge.

Sonevafushi Chef Abdullah Sobah claimed Best Chef and Best Maldivian Chef award. He also claimed the gold in the Lamb Hotel Cooking category and Beef Hot Cooking category. Maldivian National University’s Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies student Aminath Maisha claimed the gold in Chicken Hot Cooking category as well as the Most Promising Maldivian Chef.

Bandos Island Resort’s Chef Mohamed Ibrahim and Hulhule’ Island Hotel’s Chef Ismail Naseer claimed the gold in the Class 14 Maldivian Festival Meal Category.

Nashy Cakes Sihdheeq Ibrahim won the Gold+ D in the Wedding Cake Structure Category and Mariyam Shafeeqa of Nashy Cakes also won the Gold. Another God was claimed by Anantara Resort and Spa Dhigufinolhu’s Ahmed Shifau.

Chef Abdullah Faiz of Bandos Island Resort claimed Gold in the Petite Fours aux Pralines. Unique Cake’s Abdu Rasheed Abdullah claimed the Gold in Dress the Cake category, while Aishath Shaziyyaa of Bandos Island claimed the Silver.

Bandos Island Resort’s Abdu Razzaq Adam won the Silver in the Biryani dish category. He also claimed the Silver in Hot Cooking Team event.

Many Maldivians also claimed Bronze in the tournament as well.

Miadhu Online
