Maldives contributing to MH370 search

Civil Aviation Authority has reported that the Maldives was contributing to the search of lost Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, which was declared missing a year ago.

Malaysian authorities had requested Maldivian assistance in locating the remnants of the plane, in addition to Mauritius and Madagascar.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak had previously stated that recovering the plane was vital in understanding what had happened to the flight.

Recently, parts of a plane had washed up ashore in some northern islands, in a manner similar to the incident in Reunion Islands. Police Media Official reported that they had received reports of such debris but had not yet been able to verify whether it belonged to a plane.
Malaysian authorities have confirmed that the debris found on Reunion was in fact part of the flaperon of MH370.
