Adam Naseer urges to prioritize nationalism above other causes

Adam Naseer has called on all citizens to prioritize on nationalism, even if other causes are more relevant to a person.
He made the statement delivering the key note address in the opening ceremony of “Funa” activities in Kuda Huvadhoo.

Naseer said that with the times, different ideologies will be entertained but no one should allow that to be surpassed in favor of nationalism.
He also said that in the event this is allowed to happen, then it will be very difficult for citizens to take action in times of crisis

. He noted that this was the case, when the nation lost our independence. Naseer added that this had only occurred due to the actions of a few Maldivians.

Naseer also said that other nations will always be looking out for opportunities to take control over a nation that is as small as ours and advised on vigilance in such cases.
