Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Hon. Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed, signed Thursday the condolence book opened at the Indian High Commission, following the demise of the former Indian President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. In his message, the Speaker expressed, on behalf of the Members of the People’s Majlis and on his own behalf, sincere sympathy to the Government and the people of India at this time of grief.
The Speaker noted in his message the significant contribution of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam towards further strengthening the Maldives –India relationship during his presidency.
