Parliament Speaker Abdullah Maseeh Mohamed has given the guarantee that the Parliament will ensure that the Parliament will work on protecting the independence and sovereignty of the nation and islam. His statement was given in connection to the Minivan 50 Golden Jubilee celebrations.
Speaker Maseeh stated that based on the history of the nation, the Parliament has fulfilled its role. He added that the present Parliament had fulfilled their charter to the best of their abilities, prioritizing integrity and national interest.
Maseeh added that the independence of the nation was due to unity in national causes in spite of ideological differences, islam and prioritizing national interests over ages.
